Using iPhone Emulators

Hello again. Today we will be talking about how to use iPhone emulators. As the name implies, iPhone emulators are software that can perform like iPhone apps on a computer. This allows you to try out the features of the various iPhone applications without actually having an iPhone.

Of course, there is no iPhone emulator that can function like an iPhone, but there are some that get pretty close. SO if you do not have an iPhone yet and you want to try out some wicked iPhone apps before you actually buy an iPhone, here is a list of some great iPhone emulators out there.

1) Blackbaud iPhone Browser Simulator: There is an iPhone emulator developed by Shaun Sullivan, CEO of Blackbaud Inc. It is in the form of an executable file that runs a Windows build of WebKit and embeds it inside an iPhone-like shape.

2) MobiOne Studio: Made by Genuitec LLC, MobiOne Studio was originally built as an iPhone app creator and tester. However it also comes with an iPhone emulator. It comes with a 15-day free trial, which I think is truly great.

3) TestiPhone: Another iPhone emulator that is gaining popularity is the version available at TestiPhone.com. This is a free online simulator. TestiPhone is available on the official website. Developers have to be aware however, that since the iPhone doesn't support Java or Flash, some of the applications that may work on the Testiphone emulator may not actually work on an iPhone.

Try out these iPhone emulators and see what you can make out of them. See you around soon.

How to Create and Apply a Custom-made Icon for iPhone Apps

Application development is fun when you know what to do. It saves you time and gives you the best apps. Whether it is application software or itouch games, you need to know that different settings work for different icons. So you need to define exactly what kind of icon you are creating so you can apply the best settings to get the best results.

There are different kinds of custom-made icons for iPhone apps. These are:

1) Application icons
2) App Store icons
3) Launch Image icons

These three are the required icons, meaning that whatever iPhone apps you are creating, you must have these three icons in place. Others are:

4) Document icon
5) Small icon for Spotlight search results and Settings
5) Web Clip icon

The above three, while not compulsory, are recommended. The rest are:

6) Toolbar and navigation bar icon
7) Tab bar icon

These are basically optional icons.

In order to create and apply custom-made icons for your iPhone apps and have them, you need to apply the following best apps settings:

1) For Application and Web Clip icons: resize the icon to 57 X 57 pixels or 114 X 114 pixels (for high resolution).

2) For App Store icon: 512 X 512 pixels

3) For Document icon (which is recommended for custom document types), use 22 x 29 pixels or 44 x 58 pixels (high resolution)

4) Toolbar and navigation bar icon (optional): Approximately 20 x 20 pixels or 40 x 40 pixels (high resolution)

5) Launch Image icons: Use 320 x 480 pixels or 640 x 960 (high resolution).

In general, observe the following rules:

For all images and icons, The PNG format is the recommended image format for images and icons. with 24 bits being the standard bit depth (8 bits each for red, green, and blue), plus an 8-bit alpha channel.

You do not need to restrict the color selection of your palette to web-safe colors. While you can get away wit using alpha transparency in the toolbar and navigation bar icons, they will not turn out well if used for application icons.

You also need to know that you can use the same settings only for universal applications. If you are creating apps for different devices, then you need to use different sizes to do this.

In addition, you should create PNG images that have 90 degree corners and do not have any shine or gloss to get the best visual results.

So get down to business, create top apps and reap the benefits. More information on http://iphoneapps.2incstore.com

Rating 4.00 out of 5
Overall Score: 10 out of 10

With over 20 million iPhones in use and more than $50million spent by iPhone owners monthly, one can safely say that there is a huge market for iPhone applications. The key to make money from this demand is to create a successful iPhone application and sell it.

Many people are creating and selling iPhone Apps and making hundreds to thousands of dollars weekly doing this. Would you like to make some extra dollars creating and selling iPhone Apps? Then this ebook is the right thing for you.

Introducing MyPhoneRiches.

1. What Is My Phone Riches Guide All About?

MyPhoneRiches guide shows how to create successful iPhone applications that iPhone owners want. This guide also goes the extra mile to teach how to actually sell it. There is no point in creating the most useful or fun iPhone application if no one can buy it. Nor is it worth the time and effort to market an application that no one is interested in. The point behind MyPhoneRiches is to make money meeting the demands and needs of iPhone users. It only works if the application meets the demands of the end users and they can find it to buy it. The guide teaches how to do all that and get it onto the App store for sale.

2. Can An App Be Successful?

MyPhoneRiches stresses how to create Apps that will not fail, and how to find and make the applications people actually want. The concept is simple really. Find out what people want and make it. The demand is proven to be there and growing daily. The problem is usually in the shortage of applications to meet the growing interest in iPhone apps. The trick is in creating applications that not only meet the needs but become extremely popular. That is where marketing comes in.

3. Marketing Is Key

It is not enough that an application meets a need, be it as a tool or for entertainment. To be successful an iPhone application has to become popular. To do that people need to know about it, try it, love it and get others to try it. No matter how popular an iPhone app is, if no one knows it is out there, you won't make a sale. MyPhoneRiches shows effective ways to market an iPhone application to make sales. For example, there are ways to market on social networks for free that will create a buzz or interest in an iPhone app. MyPhoneRiches is full of successful marketing techniques and strategies.

4. Will An iPhone Application Keep Generating Sales?

iPhone apps are only popular for an amount of time. Because of the dynamic nature of cell phone technology, a new app easily makes a once-popular one become obsolete in the user's eye. The key is to be perceptive to market trends and keep creating newer and popular iPhone Applications that meet the changing demands of iPhone users.
